My name is Joel Helin and I am currently studying digital media programme at Hyper Island in Stockholm, Sweden. I’m 23 years old and I have a huge passion for design, illustration and typography.
I’m always looking for a new challange to expand my horizons.
My main fields of experience are: Semantic (hand made) XHTML & CSS (W3C-standard), WordPress, (some) PHP, (some) Tumblr, Adobe Photoshop, (some) Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver and Mac OS and Windows environments. Plus my eager will to always learn new things.
On the subject of me
I’m into many types and forms of art. I get hooked on movies, music{1}, and art in general. I play and write music since many years{2}playing both drums and guitar. One of my dearest friends told me that if no instruments or computers existed, I’d probably start making rythms on spoons or something.
I simply love to be creative and let my imagination go wild on things, and I enjoy to challenge myself and try new technologies.
Equipment
My workstation consists of an 24″ iMac 15″ MacBook Pro{3}. I write my markup using Coda and upload files with Transmit (both products of Panic). LittleSnapper is used to save inspiration from the net.
About this website
Heartworker is an online exhibition showcasing work from 2005 to present day. It was built with hand crafted xhtml and css, a bit of love from WordPress and with the W3C-standard (webstandard) in mind.
The fonts used are; Arial, Georgia and Nadia Serif for the header part. I chose fonts that are safe no matter what OS you’re on.
